July 2004 - Mexico

hola chicas and segniores, que tal and donde esta el goddamn vulcano ?¿

yep, i m in mexico and that already since 10 days.
after my posterpresentation of my chemistry work, which was actually my planeticket to come here in the first place, and with muchas cervezas i finished off the international conference on coordination chemistry successfully last friday in merida. was a bit of a freakshow meeting all the leading brains in this topic and there thoughts appeared quite often, if i really wanna end up like them, but luckily it turned out that there were also a few fun people in the crowd (actually exactly 4 ..) ... well i did a bit of as the americans call "networking", but probably with the wrong people and so i was always ending up going out with the staff members, the organizers and the local students, which was probably the best anyway according to the fun we had.

everyday up at seven, 10 hours of lectures, home, shower, change, party ... 4 hours sleep and the same all over again ... that lasted a week and just 2 days ago i had the first day to sleep all day long ... on playa del carmen .... oh yeah.

turquese water, white sand, good food and excellent nightlife... the usual blabla ....

and thats where i stop, cause i dont think i ll do anything else in the next weeks except that .... well maybe some more diving and a couple of more maya stones .... la vida loca.

buenas noches

mucki

ps: had a few amazing dives here: cenote diving near tulum and snorkeling with 10 whale sharks (in average 10 to 14 m) for a whole day near isla de mujeres ... amazing stuff !!
