hi
so after very hectic days in the last two weeks i finally found some time to relax, sit down and drop a few
lines.
this stopover week in austria was pretty tough. i had to organise my visum, insurance, pack my stuff, say hello
and goodbye to family and friends, my head was bursting with all the things i had to think of ... i
was very lucky as soon
as i was on that plane. i got my passport and my creditcard on me ... and i had absolutely no plan. but things always work
out ... i got picked up from the airport from wendy and her father (i met her 2 min 3 month ago on the train in austria ...
just knew her emailaddress and that she was from nyc ... god bless her hehe, thx wendy) and i could stay at her place (fucking
big and luxury) till i found my own place to stay. well that only lasted a day. first add, first call ... voula, i got a nice
room in spanish harlem, 2 min form my university (city colleg ny). ha, wendy, who was looking for an
appartment already
for a month, couldnt believe it ...
i think, she still doesnt believe me.
so i am now in harlem -- people call me here mr. white coffee, acording to my skin color and my dreads. i call some
of them irish coffee, of course not according to their irish origin, but black and full of whiskey. when it gets dark, i am
the only person visible ... that can be sometimes quite dodge, especially when you walk home drunk at 4 oclock in the morning.
but, well i ve had worse.
what to tell bout nyc ... well, you know how it is like. its hot, its cool, its nyc. you
find everything you are looking for. its hell expensive and i have to take care i dont get fat with all that cheap junkfood.
i
got into my graduate courses, even if i am undergraduate student, but as i am from austria and no one really knows where that
is, its alright hehe.
i got checked by the police already, as they thought i am a bloody drug dealer in harlem cause i was talking to some
weird guyes ... well, what they didnt know, was that i was asking, where the next video rental store is ... well, well.
the
course shouldnt be that tough, so i got enough time for travelling and partying ... if i got enough money for that, i ll see
soon.
so enough boring shit, i ll come up with some serious non warmduscher stories soon. just gimme some time. i ve
already seen a glimpse of the swedish bikini team, but this city is so big, it probably needs some time to hunt it down.
