Time: 2-3 weeks
Money: 400 Euro/Month
Probably you will be either heading to Ecuador or to Boliva.
I came from Boliva, crossed over through Puno/Lago Titica, Cuzco for the Inca Trail, Arequipa
to see Condors and then through Lima further up to Ecuador. Didnt spend much time in Peru, so guess there are more places
to explore. | |

Lima: Big city, ugly not much to see. Got a dodgy center, loads of robberies going on. Stay at
Mira Flores.
Cuzco and Inca Trail: Wicked spot, one of the best towns in SA. Brilliant nightlife and everyone
gets stuck there for at least a week or two. Also the place to organize the Inca Trail from: definitely worth doing the 4
day trek, everything else would be complete Warmduscher. Sunrise at Machu Piccu, having a hot bath in Agua Calientes and take
back the train back to Cuzco.
Scary sideinfo: only 10% is original in Machu Picchu, the rest rebuilt; but hey, it looks good.
Arequipa and Colca Canyon: Being claimed the deepest canyon of the world in competition with
the Grand Canyon of the States, but especially famous for the Condors circling above your head -- very close...
Puno and Lago Titicaca: Puno gets the title "absolute shithole of SA" - its so shit, that
s probably worth visiting, but bring loads of booze, also necessary for the "floating islands" on the lake - you just cant
take that seriously, so dont do it sober.
