next day, canoa beach, 1600: relaxing on the beach, the weather is really sunny, good waves, warm sea, still 3 more hours till the happy hour ... still
a hangover from too much pina colade the other day.
same time in colombia: 26 people kidnapped from guerillas, under them one swiss guy and one american, both students.

next day, leaving canoa at night for quito -- awful ride with the night bus, but we already got used to that and had 8 hours pleasant dreams. arrived in quito early morning -- everything closed except one hairdresser ... well fuck it and got rid of my blond hair, i mean we are finally going to columbia, or not?

went after lunch to otavalo for the big saturday market. actually we were supposed to get to bed early to be ready for the market the other day --- well what happened was that one of the english nutters, we met on the most dangerous road of the world in bolivia, came to otavalo as well to say farewell before we leave for colombia (how nice) and we had to go for a drink with him and finally got nearly raped from two other english girls, who looked really nice on first sight, but we found out later, they were really evil .... well to keep it short, we all ended up totally pissed in our room, three beds, 6 people, the english nutter dropped out quite early and occupied a whole bed for himself, me wearing my new bought headlight, a radio playing backstreetboys all night and some other weird things, u actually dont wanna now .... 4 o clock, still awake, only two more hours till the market, and the prices raise, the later u buy stuff ...

 

well, same day, same time in colombia: a hostage was freed after 3 years. still no news about the other hostages.

the alarm clock rang at seven and we finally got up,ready to spend shitloads of money on the market - and thats what we did, but in a kind of really strange way: here the things we bought: i: 8 hammocks, the english nutter, who s going to the beach for the next two weeks: lama socks, woolhat, 3 pants and a ashtray; the nice, but evil english girls: 3 carpets, lama woolsocks and ashtrays; kurt, my travelcompanion, who definitely, got no more room in his rucksack, cause he has to carry three of my hammocks: 2 carpets, a drum, pants and a ashtray. well, i guess u can imagine now, in which condition we still there that early morning .... but it was good fun though.

right after the market we finally left for colombia, trying to reach pasto the same day, what we also managed somehow, dont ask me how.
in colombia: we already on the road to cali - took the normal bus, without knowing that according to statistics the chances of getting robbed on the road from pasto to cali is 60 percent during day. well, we were lucky.

 

spent then two nights in cali and had some good fun there as well and went on to bogota, that time we took one of these minibusses. normally it
takes u 10 to 12 hours -- our driver did it in 8 .... same time, same country, but a bit north west of bogota: 6 children got killed in an crossfire  between military and guerillas -- oficially, but some guy, who saw it, said there havnt been any rebells around - it was just a bloody slaughtering of these kids.

 

yeah, and finally we got here, still got our hammocks, all of hour films, our diaries and we spent the night in a brothel, had to pay for hours, had to pay more than normal, cause the owner thought, we were a gay couple and gays have to pay more .... they were certainly surprised as we payed for the whole night hehe.

today, its our last day here in colombia, and i really like it here. the flight is reconfirmed as well and it leaves tomorrow at 1800 -- what else to say: IT WAS A FUCKING GOOD TRIP
