hi!
my legs are fucked, got a cold, still lack of sleep, but it was worth it -- the incatrail, cool stuff. climbed
3 peaks, spent some freezing nights in a tiny little tent, saw huge ruines, learned a lot of the incas culture and habits
and had loads of fun. even for me, who´s been in nepal and never went trekking there, who really fucking hates hiking, it
was a really cool experience, although i wouldnt do it another time ... once is just fine hehe. the second day was worst,
fucking thousands of incastairs right up to the highest peak at 4200 m -- really tough work. but when u finally reach machu
picchu, the spiritual capital of the incas, on the inca trail, the road of purification, and go through the sun gate and see
the city for the very first time .... fucking awesome, the irish would say --- nope, at that time u realize, that it was worth
doing the incatrail -- its part of the game, part of machu picchu. i spent the whole morning exploring the ruins, had a really
good guide, fell asleep then for a couple of hours and got waked by a lama who stepped on my head .... opened my eyes, sourrounded
by some fucking tourists, who came here by bus, havent seen a lama in their whole life and were really really excited to be
here .... when i looked around, the whole site was full with these kind of tourists, so i left quite rapidly and went down
to aqua caliente and checked out the hot springs, which were really healthy. couldnt get out of the warm water for 2 hours
... very nice.
the trip back on the local train was also damn good experience. there were hundreds of gringos waiting to the train
to arrive, that was already full, when he finally got in the station. most of us hadnt had a ticket, but it didnt matter,
cause when u are in the train, they wouldnt kick u out. well thats what everything did ... to get on the train -- fucking
massacre, felt like being in india again hehe --- was good fun. u meet loads of new people on so little space for the next
5 hours.
well and now back in cusco for another awesome weekend. its festival time here for the next 3 days, so i dont think
im gonna get bored .... on sunday night then on to arequipa, to see the colca canyon and maybe some white water rafting
...
well, take care so long mucki
